Top Tips
Arrive Early
During July and August, Palombaggia is extremely popular. Arriving before 10am gives you the best chance of finding convenient parking and enjoying a quieter beach.
Bring Snorkelling Equipment
The rocky areas around the bay are home to a variety of colourful Mediterranean fish and are well worth exploring.
Stay Later in the Afternoon
Many visitors begin leaving during the late afternoon, creating a much more peaceful atmosphere and some beautiful light for photography.
Pack Plenty of Water
Although cafés and restaurants are available during the summer season, it’s always worth bringing extra drinking water, particularly on hotter days.
How to Get There
Palombaggia Beach is approximately 10 kilometres south-east of Porto-Vecchio and can be reached in around 20 minutes by car.
The nearest airport is Figari Sud-Corse Airport, around 30 kilometres away, making Palombaggia one of the easiest beaches in Corsica to reach if you’re flying.
If you’re arriving by ferry, Porto-Vecchio is the closest port, while Bastia is approximately two and a half hours away by road.
