Scandola Nature Reserve is located on Corsica’s spectacular north-west coastline and cannot be accessed by road. The vast majority of visitors explore the reserve on organised boat trips departing from Porto, Calvi, Galéria or occasionally Ajaccio.

Porto is generally considered the main gateway to the reserve and offers the widest choice of excursions throughout the holiday season. Depending on the itinerary, boat trips typically last between three and six hours, with some combining Scandola with Girolata and the Calanques de Piana.
