Via Romana

Set in the village of Casamozza di Fium’Orbu on Corsica’s Costa Serena, Via Romana is a compact, family-oriented campsite with Mediterranean shoreline to the east and mountain scenery to the west. Its small footprint makes for a relaxed, low-key atmosphere rather than a large resort feel, and the site’s position means beaches and inland attractions are within easy reach by car.

On site you’ll find four swimming pools, including a paddling pool for little ones, plus courts and pitches for tennis, volleyball, basketball and boules. Practical conveniences include a bakery, a grocery point, a snack bar, a restaurant, a pizzeria and a bar, so basic shopping and meals are straightforward during a stay. Accommodation is focused on mobile homes.

The campsite is dog-friendly and suits families with babies and toddlers as well as groups wanting a central base for exploring Corsica. Outdoor activities such as sailing, horse riding, treetop adventure courses and canyoning are available nearby for those who prefer to mix poolside days with more active excursions.

The campsite sits on Costa Serena, a coastline known for sandy beaches, sheltered inlets and a scattering of marinas. A large sandy beach is nearby and Plage Pinia is reachable in a short drive; both make straightforward options for sunbathing and simple beach days. Local companies run watersports and outdoor activities such as sailing, horse riding, treetop adventure courses and canyoning, offering ways to add variety to a stay.

Inland, the Restonica Gorge lies at roughly an hour’s drive and is noted for its dramatic river-carved gorges and mountain pools, popular with walkers. Further afield are Ajaccio, Corsica’s capital and Napoléon’s birthplace — a drive of around two hours — and the historic town of Bonifacio, both suitable as day trips from the campsite.
